World Grand Prix

The World Grand Prix at the Mattioli Arena Leicester is the only PDC major that uses a double-in format — players must start each leg by hitting a double before they can begin scoring. It is the most specialist title in the PDC calendar and rewards accuracy under pressure above all else.

What double-in meansEvery leg begins with both players needing to hit a double to start. A missed double at the start costs a full visit — three darts thrown, zero scored. Checkout percentage takes on a different shape here; the opening double is where tournaments are won and lost.
Contenders for 2026Double-in specialists tend to do well here. Humphries has won this back-to-back.
